 Morgan Honea, Chief Executive Officer, CORHIO

Morgan Honea serves as the CEO of the Colorado Regional Health Information Organization (CORHIO). Under his leadership, CORHIO has grown at its fastest pace since inception - exchanging health information between 61 hospitals, 4,200+ providers, and over 1,100 organizations. He has also expanded the organization’s partnership with the State of Colorado as well as numerous payers and ACO’s to advance the Triple Aim in Colorado. Honea serves in a governance capacity for multiple organizations and as the representative for health information exchange on the Governor’s Commission for eHealth Innovation.
Prior to joining the CORHIO, Honea served as CEO of Plains Medical Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center serving more than 10,000 patients in rural and frontier eastern Colorado. In this role, he helped the organization achieve meaningful use, NCQA Patient Centered Medical Home status, and consistent profitability. Prior to leaving his position, Honea successfully managed the merger of Plains Medical Center with another health center in Colorado, making the merged organization in the top 1% of health center’s nationally in terms of revenues, patients served and geographic service area.
Honea lives in Colorado Springs with his wife, Henny, and his two children, Andrew and Emma. He received a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Missouri State University and a Bachelor’s in Accounting from the University of Tulsa.

 Robert Denson, Chief Information Officer, CORHIO
|
Robert Denson is the Chief Information Officer, as well as the HIPAA Compliance Officer, for the Colorado Regional Health Information Organization (CORHIO), a regional health information exchange based in Denver. As the CIO of CORHIO, Robert oversees a team of implementation and support services as well as the development of new products to meet the NEEDS of the Colorado community. As the Compliance Officer of CORHIO, Robert ensures the safety and protection of the sensitive patient information that is stored, processed or transmitted by CORHIO. Prior to CORHIO, Robert worked for Avaya and has over ten years of management experience within multiple support environments and industries. He is also a Board Member for the Arapahoe Community College Health Information Technology Program. Robert, his wife Amy and daughter Danna, moved to Colorado from Phoenix 15 years ago and have enjoyed the many outdoor activities Colorado offers.

 Laura McCrary, Ed.D, Executive Director, KHIN
|
Dr. Laura McCrary is the Executive Director of the Kansas Health Information Network, Inc. (KHIN) and the Senior Vice President of KaMMCO Health Solutions (KHS). KHIN is a Kansas non-profit organization that provides health information exchange technology services to over 1500 health care organizations throughout Kansas. KHS provides health information exchange and analytics to physicians-led organizations across the nation. Both KHIN and KHS are provider led and governed. Founding members include the Kansas Medical Society, the Kansas Hospital Association and KaMMCO (Kansas Medical Mutual Insurance Company).
Laura completed Post-Doctoral work at Kansas University and a Doctorate of Education from Kansas State University. Laura is an adjunct professor at Rockhurst University-Helzberg School of Management and teaches courses in Health Information Technology and Quality. Laura is the Past-Chair of the National Policy Steering Committee for eHealth Initiative and the Payer Workgroup for the Strategic Health Information Exchange Consortium (SHIEC). Laura served as the Co-chair of the Advisory Board for the Sequoia Project/Carequality and served on the Governance Group for the National Syndromic Surveillance System.

 Heather Hallett, RN, MBA,VP, Medicity

Heather Hallett is a Clinical VP who has built her career around improving the safety and care of patients through enablement of healthcare information technology.
One of her core competencies is understanding complex customer business problems and positioning relevant technology solutions. She has extensive experience working with end users (physicians, nurses, ancillary staff, clinical and analysts) and is educated in the principles of Lean Healthcare and Process Mapping with demonstrable project work documenting current and future state workflows, and its impact to the clinician and patient experience.
With over 25 years of experience, 10 in direct patient care and 15 in informatics, she has worked as a Nurse, Nurse Manager, Clinical Consultant, Project Manager, Specialty Sales Executive, Director of Product Marketing and Knowledge Management and VP of Business Development.
Heather holds a Bachelors of Science in Nursing, a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and a Masters in Health Care Administration, and is actively licensed as a nurse in both the United States and Canada.
