The Health IT Policy Committee meets monthly to make recommendations to the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) on a policy framework for the development and adoption of a nationwide health information infrastructure. This summary pertains to the July 8, 2014 meeting involving updates on data review from CMS and ONC, Meaningful Use Stage 2 experiences and listening session, and a package of recommendations from: the Quality Measures Workgroup on Stage 3, the Accountable Care Workgroup on ACOs, the Safety Task Force on the Health IT Safety Center, and the Certification/Adoption Workgroup on the health IT workforce.
