The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services has mandated that all stakeholders covered by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) must transition to the ICD-10 code set on October 1, 2015. However, the scope and complexity of the transition are significant. On June 17, 2015 eHealth Initiative, AHIMA, and Greenway hosted a webinar overview of results from a survey exploring how provider organizations are preparing for the transition, assessing the anticipated impact of the transition, and developing post-implementation plans.
