In January of this year, the Department of Health & Human Services Office of Civil Rights released the first major proposed changes to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) since passage of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in 2009. The proposed changes, if finalized, would update rules regarding disclosure of personal health information (PHI) and rights of individuals to access their PHI.
Join eHI on April 20th at 3 PM for a 30-minute briefing on the major proposed changes and join an interactive discussion with fellow eHI members on their potential impact. eHI Vice President & Senior Counsel Alice Leiter and Assistant Vice President Catherine Pugh will lead the briefing and facilitate the discussion.
