Doug plans to discuss the dual ways of analyzing data, from both “use need” and “organizational need” perspectives. Both of these perspectives utilize the same data, for vastly different purposes. Doug will be sharing their successes and pitfalls along with solutions that they are using to address these concerns as well as offering a few commentary perspectives on the future.
Colleen O’Donnell, the Policy and Practice Improvement Specialist for The National Council for Behavioral Health addresses the Interoperability workgroup today. She will be presenting on the SAMHSA-HRSA Center of Integrated Health Solutions. The program focuses on the integration of primary care and behavioral health services. Her presentation will focus on the challenges and solutions to privacy and consent issues that the program has identified to support data sharing among providers.

The anticipated CMS regulation outlines fundamental changes and signals a major shift in the healthcare landscape.
