Please join us at the eHI offices for our quarterly policy lunch series. Our guest speaker is David Lee from Leavitt Partners. The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) passed into law in 2015 with the bipartisan support of over 90% of lawmakers in Congress, including our new HHS Secretary Dr. Tom Price. However, Price and others have also voiced concerns over the burden MACRA’s Quality Payment Program places on providers and questioned some of the CMS Innovation Center’s alternative payment model initiatives that now overlap with MACRA. For this reason, as we move through 2017 it will be particularly interesting to see how the Administration moves forward with the implementation of MACRA and other bipartisan value-based payment initiatives.
