Overview:
Inovalon's Senior Director, Interoperability within the Innovation leadership team plays an integral role in shaping the goals and critical priorities associated with defining expansion of an industry-leading interoperability platform that extends Inovalon’s bidirectional clinical data exchange platform to EHRs and HIEs. In this role, you will serve as the lead in building out new/improved innovative technology solutions that employ this platform to further Inovalon’s value based care products for health plans, health systems and medical groups and the pharma, life sciences and medical device industries. Working collaboratively with the Sr. Vice President of Innovation & Data Strategies, you will deliver on key corporate goals that evolve the integration platform such that Inovalon continues to drive innovation, improved quality and efficiency for its partners and for the health care ecosystem as a whole.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Inovalon’s development of innovation data and technology-driven solutions with the primary focus of implementing the interoperability platform solutions;
- Assess existing and new partnerships with EHR and HIE vendors to identify opportunities to meet strategic goals and program business needs;
- Lead the engagement with key large health system partners to deploy the bidirectional connection leveraging IHE and other industry standards;
- Conduct market research and industry best practices, including development of reports and supporting data analytics to identify trends and opportunities as inputs to the product design process;
- Partner with product and business development senior executives to define and develop product go-to-market strategies, business development approaches and product marketing strategy/plan;
- Lead a diverse, cross-functional, organizational-wide team to meet goals and timelines;
- Work closely with stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure effective buy-in and adoption of new products, services and capabilities;
- Deliver program to internal and external stakeholder presentations, approve/develop product marketing materials, and represent Company at industry conferences through delivering industry-leading presentations;
- Present product strategy and recurring performance metrics to internal executive leadership team, including Chief Executive Officer; and
- Oversee a multi-year portfolio of product ideas and concepts through the innovation process from concept to launch; including overseeing concurrent client product implementations, coordinating and prioritizing competing priorities.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS or Degree in Healthcare or Technology related field (preferred) or equivalent experience;
- 8+ years of EHR / HIE technology & implementation experience; with strong proficiency in HL7 and IHE standards
- Deep understanding of EDI/ data connectivity, interoperability principles & standards, and various communication protocols, options to transmit data between platforms such as Web Services including knowledge of Restful and WS* web services;
- 8+ years managing a product line, department, and/or serving as a general manager with P&L responsibilities;
- Excellent general management, technical and analytical skills and the ability to understand the Company’s products and process;
- Professionally skilled in personal presentation, verbal, and written communication; and
- Meticulous organizational and people development skills.
