eHealth Initiative & Foundation Announces New Board Members and Chairman for 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C. – December 15, 2020 - eHealth Initiative & Foundation (eHI) announced today the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors, one each from UnitedHealthcare, Humana, and athenahealth. The Board also announced the election of Amy McDonough, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Fitbit Health Solutions, as the incoming Chair for the Board of Directors.

Saurabha Bhatnagar, MD, Chief Medical Officer & Head of Technology & Performance, UnitedHealthcare; Paul Brient, Chief Product Officer at athenahealth; and Mona Siddiqui, MD, Senior Vice President for Strategy and Quality, Enterprise Clinical Management at Humana, will join the eHI Board of Directors.

“The unique insight these executives bring to the table supports eHI’s strategic focus on virtual care, privacy, social determinants of health, and COVID-19,” said Jen Covich Bordenick, eHI’s Chief Executive Officer. "These individuals are leading the transformation of healthcare during a turbulent time."

“eHI is extremely fortunate to bring aboard this diverse collection of leaders who have deep experience in the health care technology space,” said Susan Turney, MD, Chief Executive Officer of Marshfield Clinic Health System and outgoing Chair of the Board of Directors. “They will help eHI stay at the forefront of thinking about how technology can be applied to drive innovation and transformation across the industry.”
