eHealth Initiative Welcomes Micky Tripathi as National Coordinator for Health IT

eHI Member & Past Board Chair Assumes National Health IT Position

Washington, DC – January 21, 2021 – The eHealth Initiative (eHI) issued the following statement on the naming of Micky Tripathi, PhD, MPP, as the new National Coordinator for Health Information Technology:

“eHI congratulates Micky Tripathi on his selection as President Biden’s National Coordinator for Health IT,” said Jen Covich Bordenick, Chief Executive Officer of eHI. “He has been in the trenches and truly understands the challenges with interoperability, value of sharing health data, and complexity of the health care system. Organizations are dealing with COVID-19, health disparities, shrinking budgets and increasing demands for data. Micky’s leadership will help forge partnerships between the government and private sector. We look forward to working with Micky in his new role and would like to thank Dr. Donald Rucker for his leadership of the Office of the National Coordinator over the last four years.”

Most recently, Micky served as Chief Alliance Officer with eHI member Arcadia, and prior to that, served as a chair of eHI’s Board of Directors and member of the eHI Leadership Council.
