New Administration Faces Unprecedented Health Care Challenges

Washington, DC – January 20, 2021 – Today, the eHealth Initiative (eHI) issued the following statement on the swearing in of President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. and Vice President Kamala Harris:

“eHI congratulates President Biden and Vice President Harris and looks forward to working with the new Biden-Harris Administration as it faces the most difficult health care challenge our country has met this century,” said Jen Covich Bordenick, Chief Executive Officer of eHI. “COVID-19 and its effects continue to ravage our communities, the delivery of care, and our economy at an alarming rate. Although there is a light at the end of the tunnel with the rollout of vaccines, it is clear there is much work to be done to transform our health care system into one more modern, equitable, effective, and efficient. eHI and our members stand ready to work with the new administration in order to reach this shared goal.”
